NEW ORDER
S/S 2013
New Order was an Osklen group brand specialized in women’s accessories. It had over twenty stores in eight Brazilian states before switching to an online-only model and later on closing its operations toward the end of 2013. This Spring/Summer collection presents a retro and fun approach to the nautical theme with hints of Wes Anderson’s creative universe.

// The prints overall were really simple vector based designs, with the exception of one in which I used watercolor and wet paper to create an ocean looking effect. The real challenge was the rope prints for the runway. The graphics were sublimated as a single sheet directly onto the garment, which required me to work with the seamstress to ensure that the proportions and placement were perfect.
//  Aligned with the ludic ethos of the brand, the runway show invitation doubled as an origami boat template. My goal was to extend the life of an ephemeral item and invite the audience to help build the collection’s universe.Â
// As the lead designer for this piece, I worked with the Fashion Director and the photographer Hilnando Mendez to help produce the photoshoot. It was my first professional art direction project working on the full scope of an editorial project, from making the props to retouching photos.
